This is a chance to slow down, play, experiment and simply enjoy the process of making art.
Watch as water and pigment mingle and flow across the paper, creating beautiful and often unexpected effects—where a little less control can lead to a whole lot more magic.
We’ll explore simple mark-making techniques and discover the unique alchemy that happens when water and pigment meet.
To add an extra touch of enchantment, you’ll receive your very own set of metallic watercolours, creating shimmering highlights and little flashes of light that bring your artwork to life.
Our guided Hartspace workshop is suitable for all levels. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing creative escape; want to learn new techniques; or simply feel like giving yourself permission to play … this is your invitation to slow down, get creative and enjoy the magic of watercolour and ink.

East London Fine Art Society Peep Show Exhibition 2026
CALL FOR ENTRIES
For this exhibition artists are invited to submit artworks that must measure not more than A5 format (148mm x 210mm) or preferably smaller.
ARTISTS PLEASE REMEMBER:
Closing date for entries is Monday 28 September 2026 at 16h00
All works must be properly framed with eye screws attached ready to be hung as well as the artist’s name and title placed on the back of the work.
A maximum of ten entries are allowed per artist.
Entry forms can also be collected from the gallery or downloaded off the website.
Cost for entry is R15.00 per entry for a non-member and R5.00 per entry for members.
