Umtiza Arts Festival 2026 Exhibition Entry Form ~ PARTICIPATION REGISTRATION 

UMTIZA ~ showcasing the boundless creativity and collective talent of the greater Eastern Cape.

The Umtiza Art Festival is a 10-year-old local art festival that is held in the Buffalo City Metro area since 2016. The festival was instituted by the Guild Theatre, East London Museum, and the Ann Bryant Art Gallery and through the existing asset base and infrastructure, the festival is founded upon world-class facilities to host artists and meaningful productions.

The festival focuses on bringing quality productions to the East London theatre stages, hosting class art exhibitions, and presenting educational research works (history, science and environmental) for the community.

The Ann Bryant Art Gallery would like to invite all Eastern Cape artists to participate in an Art Exhibition to be held at the Ann Bryant Art Gallery during the Umtiza Festival form 22 May to 30 May 2026.

The theme of the exhibition is:

"OPEN CALL TO ARTISTS."

PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE A STRICT SELECTION AS SPACE IS LIMITED

There is NO ENTRY FEE for this exhibition Please submit your work on or before Monday11th May 2026 (cut off time 4pm).. The exhibition will be opened in the Main Gallery of the Ann Bryant Art Gallery, East London from 18h00 for 18h30 on Friday 22nd May 2026 and will conclude Saturday 30th May 2026 at 12:00 noon.

ARTISTS PLEASE TAKE NOTE: A MAXIMUM OF FOUR ARTWORKS ALLOWED PER ARTIST. Unselected artworks must be collected by Friday 15 May 2026. Artists will be notified by Wednesday 13 May 2026.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

• Conditions of entry:

• A commission of 20% shall be deducted from the total sale price.

• The Ann Bryant reserves the right to alter the dates of the exhibition.

• The exhibition is open to all original works.

• All works must be signed and full particulars, title, artists name and price must be clearly and legibly written on the back.

• All works must be delivered to the Ann Bryant Art Gallery at the cost of the exhibitor.

• Exhibitors are limited to a maximum of four works per entrant for the Umtiza Exhibition.

• All works are submitted subject to the approval of the Selection committee whose decision is final.

• The owners must collect all unselected works on the day after the close of the exhibition.

• The Ann Bryant Art Gallery are not responsible for insurance of any work, loss, theft or damage.

• All works must be ready to be exhibited.

• The works are exhibited at the owners risk.

• All unsold artworks to be collected by no later than Monday 1 June 2026.
