The permanent collection

Housed in a gracious double-storied Edwardian home and set in an established garden, this is a gem of a gallery with an intimate feel and a wide range of paintings.  Owned by the City of East London, the gallery has a collection of about 350 works and adds to it every year with funding from the City Council.  There are about 60 works out at any one time but they are rotated, usually after a temporary exhibition.  Its works are also occasionally on loan to other galleries.
