Ethel Sawyer Dear Sirs I would be very grateful if you could give me any information on Mrs Ethel Sawyer . I have a painting in oil of Chrysanthemums in a vase by a window looking into her garden, which I believe was painted in her house in The Wilderness where she lived. It was probably purchased from her in the late 1940s . by friends of mine who have long passed away . I would like to know how her work is rated against other painters. Paintings Good Day I have 2 paintings that appear to be very old, but I am unsure as to how to tell whether or not they are originals or not. Unfortunately I am up in JHB and I will not be able to make it down to you on Monday 22nd. Is there any where up in JHB that you are aware of that would be reputable to take these two paintings to?
