exhibiting my art Dear Leon We met at the Ann Bryant Art Gallery with the opening of the Mosaic Exhibition. You suggested that I email you with some photos of my art work. I have included photos of my Dads work as well because I would like to exhibit with him if it is possible. I was born in Pretoria and grew up there. I met and married Philip Howarth in Pretoria and we moved to Stutterheim where both our boys were born. We then moved to Queenstown where I discovered an ability to paint in oils. I was invited onto a painting course with Bob McKenzie and have never looked back. Since then I have exhibited at festivals and Art Exhibitions. Here are just some of my paintings up for sale. At the water hole. Oil on Board 900×450 mm Deidré Howarth Yacht on the water. Oil on canvas 600×450 mm Deidré Howarth After rain at corner café Oil on board 600× 450 mm Deidré Howarth Old farm Yard Oil on board 600× 450 mm Deidré Howarth Riding on the Beach 1020×

Wedding Reception Good Day, I am a former East Londoner, currently residing in Johannesburg and since visiting your gallery in my youth, I have been fascinated with your beautiful building and gorgeous garden. I am planning on getting married next year, April 2011. Kindly advise if by any chance you are able to allow for a reception to take place there. If not at least for my photographs and cocktails to be available on your grounds. I look forward to your response. Melissa Submitted By: Melissa Calverley

Ethel Sawyer Dear Sirs I would be very grateful if you could give me any information on Mrs Ethel Sawyer . I have a painting in oil of Chrysanthemums in a vase by a window looking into her garden, which I believe was painted in her house in The Wilderness where she lived. It was probably purchased from her in the late 1940s . by friends of mine who have long passed away . I would like to know how her work is rated against other painters. While browsing the names on the Internet I noticed your Gallery had some of her works. Kind regards, Richard Bonner Submitted By: Richard Bonner

Paintings Good Day I have 2 paintings that appear to be very old, but I am unsure as to how to tell whether or not they are originals or not. Unfortunately I am up in JHB and I will not be able to make it down to you on Monday 22nd. Is there any where up in JHB that you are aware of that would be reputable to take these two paintings to? Kind regards Cindy Mc Grellis Submitted By: Cindy Mc Grellis
